Mohbad: Police detain Naira Marley.

The Lagos State Police Command, on Tuesday night, announced it had taken into custody controversial singer Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, in connection with the controversial death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias Mohbad. The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, �Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.�

The National Publicity Director of the APC, Bala Ibrahim, attributed Atiku and the PDP�s action to what he called �post-election defeat disorder.�

Ooni begs Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has pleaded with Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu�s administration given the current economic situation. The Ooni made the appeal during the visitation to his family compound as part of activities to mark the grand finale of the Olojo Annual Festival in the Oketase area, Ile-Ife on Monday. The monarch admitted that Nigeria is currently at its trial period when the citizens are facing a lot of challenges in all ramifications of life.

Losers of presidential poll spreading fake news about Wike, says Rivers

The Rivers government says those who were defeated in the presidential poll are churning out fake news against Nyesom Wike, governor of the state. Chris Finebone, Rivers commissioner for information and communications, in a statement issued on Sunday, said the purveyors of the fake news are spreading them to deceive Nigerians. He said a preliminary investigation by the state government �revealed that the scheme is the handiwork of opposition social media urchins�.

Elections: Imo, Rivers results manipulated, says Yiaga Africa

A civil rights organisation, Yiaga Africa, has added a new twist to the general election conducted on February 25, saying that the results from Imo and Rivers states were inconsistent with its projections for the states. The organisation raised the observation in its post-election statement signed by the Chair, Watching The Vote and Executive Director, Samson Itodo, obtained on Wednesday night and titled, �The 2023 presidential elections are once again a missed opportunity: INEC must be fundamentally reformed.�
